Our Beliefs
Hope Chapel is as an interdenominational fellowship.
We are fundamental and unapologetic in our presentation
of the gospel of Jesus Christ. In a day when diluted
messages are producing diluted people, we stress a
straightforward proclamation of the Word of God,
emphasizing what we consider to be the foundational
truths of Jesus Christ for those who believe.
We are members of the International Church of the
Foursquare Gospel. The term Foursquare stands for the
fourfold ministry of Jesus as:
- Jesus Christ as Saviour
- Jesus Christ as Baptizer
- Jesus Christ as our Healer
- Jesus Christ as our Coming King
We believe
- The Bible is the foundation for Christian living.
- There is only one God, existing as three
persons: Father, Son (Jesus Christ) and Holy Spirit.
- In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His
virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles,
in His atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in
His ascension to the right hand of the father, in His
glorious future return.
- The only means of being cleansed from sin is
acknowledging Jesus Christ as the source of our
salvation and the resource of power filled living.
- The presence of the ministry of the Holy Spirit,
who comes to glory and magnify Jesus, lifting Him up
so that all men will be drawn into the Kingdom. We
believe it is His indwelling presence in our lives
that brings us into fruitfulness and fulfillment.
- Interdenominational fellowship with all members
of the Christian faith. We recognize that we are all
members of the same body of Christ, though we may go
by different names and points of emphasis.
- The ministry and authority of the believer- that
we have been called equipped to extent the perimeters
of the Kingdom of God by living power-filled lives.
- In water baptism by immersion as the first step of
obedience - Water Baptism, a public declaration of our
commitment to a new way of life, a farewell to an old
way of thinking, and a signpost of a life-changing decision.
- In the baptism in the Holy Spirit in accordance
to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who ask for the
sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit. When Jesus
left, He promised He would send another comforter
who would live in us, lead us, and guide us into
truth.
- In healing and deliverance- we believe in divine
healing and the power of Jesus to heal the sick and
the afflicted in answer to believing prayer.
- In the resurrection of both the saved and the
lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to
everlasting punishment.
